I took these screen shots as I went through steps of getting OutLinker to work on OutLook 2010.

Get Access to Visual Basic Editor

Add OutLinker Macros to Ribbon Toolbar

Once you have the button added to the ribbon, click on the "rename" button and you can change the command from "project1.outlinker" to "outlinker" and choose icons for each command.

If your corporate security settings do not permit use of all macros, try using selfcert.exe.

Set up correctly for Gmail

If you are using Gmail, this last setting is very important. Outlinker "Archives" gmail messages by deleting them in outlook. It "deletes" gmail messages by moving them to the trash folder. You do not want to have the Outlook delete function move the message to the trash. Outlook2010deletionsetting.jpg

Enable OutLook Hyperlinks

You will see this message if you haven't run the right registry script to enable Outlook hyperlinks:

To enable hyperlinks, go to the Outlook Macro Library#Outlook_2007 and 2010 Registry Setup and copy the text into a .reg file and click on it. You need to choose the right version based on whether you are running Outlook 2007 or 2010 and whether your machine or software is 64bit.
